S. Maria dell’Elemosina Basilica (Collegiata)

This ancient church was built during the beginning of Christianity, although the place was previously used as a temple dedicated to Proserpina.  The building was destroyed by the earthquake of 1693, then rebuilt during the 18th century. The architectural style is baroque. Inside the church there are several artistic works from different periods.
