This archipelago is located in the western part of Sicily in the province of Trapani. The islands that form the archipelago are: Favignana, Levanzo, Marettimo, Maraone, Formica, Galera, Galeotta and the Stagnone islands. They have ancient origins as they were populated in ancient times.
